(Klosterstraße 67, Alt-Berlin)
The Parochialkirche is the oldest church in Berlin built specifically to serve as home to a Protestant congregation. The temple was built between 1695 and 1703 by architect Martin Grünberg following a design by Johann Arnold Nerring.
The church was destroyed in 1944. Restoration of the temple is expected to finish in 2015 after a new belfry is rebuilt.

Architecture in Berlin - O is for Palais Prinz Karl, aka Ordenspalais
(Wilhelmplatz 9, Berlin-Friedrichstadt)
Between 1827 and 1828, architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel remodeled the former Baroque palace of the Count of Waldburg-Capustigall, dating back from 1737. The building then served as a residence for Prince Karl of Prussia, who later became the first Grand Master of the restored Johanniterorden, the German Protestant branch of the Knights of Malta.
After the fall of the Hohenzollern dynasty in 1918, the new republican government occupied the palace. In March 1933 it fell to the new Reich Ministry of Propaganda.
The palace was destroyed by bombing in WWII. The ruins were cleared in 1949.
